Ups and downs

Today, I went down to Suntec to collect my books and timetable for the insurance course. It was shocking to find out that the schedule for the course was fully packed. Examinations were held on alternate Saturdays and the first examination was scheduled to be on the first week. Later during the day, I was offered another job which doesn't require me to study =) Of course I am happier with the second job option but I worry about my future job career path for this job. Nonetheless, I personally still think the second job option is more attractive. Perhaps I shall worry about my career path in the near future. Better to pocket more money in the first place, right? So, now I have the problem of how to return my books and turn down job offer. How come companies find it easier to reject applicants by ignoring them for weeks? Another down side of my life today is that I have a little lump on my armpit =(

Life is full of ups and downs. And I have experienced all of these in just merely one day (including my hopping around the entire day with 9 toe nails).

No toe nail

My last toe nail dropped off today. It hurts. I am so scared as I have never had an entire nail removed before. How am I going to wear heels to work? I want to cry ='( Dada is not here to accompany and comfort me. He sucks. My plan of having a good time at the fish spa is also ruined because of my stupid missing toe nail.

On a different note, manuka honey with high UMF is so expensive. I got myself two bottles of Avene thermal spring water during the promotion of buy 1 get 1 free. Hope it is good.

i saw a huge spider!

today is unpacking day. i woke up at 7 in the morning to talk to weiwei. she seems to be in good spirits. still no sign of kitty though. bear bear assured me that kitty was dead. i hope tts not true. afterwards, weiwei said she was tired n went to sleep. i then proceeded to take a nap. woke up w 30 min to spare before i had to check out of e nice hotel. after a quick shower, i went home to shermie to unpack a luggage. then afterwards, i went to tis.. spent abt 200 bucks on books. collected a 20 bucks voucher, so tt helped abit. too bad i don't qualify for the 30 bucks voucher. need 1175 pts and i only had 900 odd.. even after spending the 200 bucks, i didn't qualify cause i could only get e pts on sep 15. tot tt there was no pt waiting so i just got the 20 bucks thingy. will get some food vouchers w my remaining pts.

after tt, i went to warehouse. there i saw a GIANT spider living amongst my stuff. damn gross!! it was bigger than my hand. got a freaking shock. also saw a bloody wasps/hornets nest at the back. got damn scared lah. hurriedly crammed as many stuff as i could into e car. went home. went warehouse again. saw e spider again. let it chase me for a while, got e remainder of my stuff. then i got the hell out of there. so scary!! afterwards, i went to bk to buy dinner. forgot weiwei wasn't around n ordered a swissmushroom meal. when i realized wad i had done, it was already too late. ah wells. i get to have 2 packs of fries and 2 drinks. threw e burger away tho. lol. i'm home now watching guess show. its funny.. love sister butterfly. thanksgiving bear says she likes her too.

Job Fair Day

I went to the job fair today. It was not so crowded since I attended the private networking session. Nonetheless, the fair was boring as most of the booths are promoting government jobs, which I am not interested in at all. I was more interested in getting the freebies =) Afterall, I am awaiting to sign a contract for a job that I have secured. I am sick of attending interviews. Of all the freebies, I love the couple keychains from SDU the most. It would be interesting to work for this unit since I can probably filter out the better guys for myself before matchmaking the rest. I also candidly applied for a nursery teaching position for PAP. When I left the fair, there was a super long queue of people from all walks of life waiting to enter the fair. It was open to the public then. It makes me feel guilty that I am thinking twice whether I should accept the current job opportunity since so many people out there are hungry for a job. As I have taken too much freebies, my bag was rather heavy. I miss dada. I have nobody to help me carry my stuff now. It sucks. Other people got boyfriend to help them carry their stuff while I don't have. I saw someone wearing an almost similar shirt to dada's and it makes me miss him more.

I had lunch at xin wang taiwan cafe which was different from its usual hong kong cafe. It was my first time trying out lu rou fan and I found it pretty oily :p Shopping at Ion Orchard makes me happy and tired at the same time. I also finally had the chance to try out the cookie frappe at dr coffee cafe, which was something that dada and I had wanted to do long ago. However, it seems that whenever we passed by the store, we were always very full.

It sucks to drag my painful feet whilst carrying heavy stuff. :(

Departure

Today, dada chooses school over weiwei. Dada left for Urbana-Champaign. He sucks. The rainy weather makes me even more depressed. Hope that the weather does not affect his flight and that he has a safe journey.
